Weights and Running Up Rivington Pike

I haven't been for a run since last summer which is almost 8 months ago. So today I went for a run up Rivington Pike, which for those who don't know, is one of the highest points in North West England sitting at 363 meters. Considering I had not been for a run for so long I thought I may have been biting off more than I could chew. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to run from the bottom all the way to the top with the only minor breaks coming whenI had to open and close a gate. This tells me a few things:

Lifting heavy weights must help with running especially uphill

Doing yoga and core stability exercises must help with running especially on rocky uneven surfaces

Lifting lighter weights at high repetition must help with running en (like in LBT)

So overall, I am a happy camper!

If you'd like to be a happy camper/runner too, fill out my contact form for a specialised weights and yoga programme to help with your running. All programmes cost £20.
