Hormones and Fat Deposit

Is it possible to lose fat in a particular place? Yes. But it has nothing to do with exercising a particular spot. For example, doing 1000 sit ups a day isn’t going to cause you to lose fat from your belly. You see, our hormones have a BIGGER influence on where fat is stored than the muscles in the spot. Here is a list of the hard to tackle fat areas and which hormones are potentially responsible for storing it there.

Love Handles: Insulin

Bra Flab: Thyroxine/ Triiodothyronine

Belly/Abdominal Fat: Cortisol

Tricep Fat/Bingo Wings: Testosterone (or lack of)

Thighs and Arse: Too much oestrogen

Man boobs: Testosterone (lack of)

Keep following my blog and join my mailing list for a more detailed breakdown and explanation of each hormone.
